With latest acquisition, Mayfair RE enters the vacation rental market

We've got big plans for this pink gem on Ocean Drive! Sure, it's a total wreck right now, but with a killer location just one block from the beach, it’s got potential written all over it. 

For our visually impaired readers, you might say the building needs a full gut and rehab. We’ll be installing hurricane impact windows, a new roof, updating the electrical system throughout, opening up the floor plans, and finishing with luxury kitchens and bathrooms.

​We’re also working with an architect to reconfigure the floor plans. Currently, the building is laid out as a triplex with a 2 bed/2 bath apartment in the back and two 1 bed/1 bath apartments in the front. Our plan is to preserve the 1 bedroom units and add a third bedroom to the rear unit.

​As our first foray into the short-term vacation rental market, this project is a little different from anything we’ve worked on in the past. At least one of the apartments will have to be ADA approved, which means meeting certain parking and bathroom accessibility requirements. We’ll also be going with higher end luxury finishes in the kitchens and bathrooms. And then there’s furniture to think about…calling all interior designers!
